Aisha Yesufu Calls Wike a Liar Over Peter Obi Vote Claim

A political leader named Aisha Yesufu said that Nyesom Wike, who is the Federal Capital Territory Minister, is telling lies.

Wike had claimed that a group of governors called the G5 had a plan to let Peter Obi win votes in the South-South region during the 2023 election.

Wike said they did this to hurt Atiku Abubakar, who was running for president from the PDP party.

Wike said the G5 thought if they let Obi take votes from the South-South, it would help their chances because Atiku was strong in that region.

He said they did not include Rivers State in this plan because they did not want Obi to win Rivers.

Yesufu responded on social media on Wednesday and said Wike is lying.

She said three members of the G5 group ran for the Senate position in that same 2023 election and they all lost.

She asked how Wike could be so powerful if he could not even help his own G5 group members win their Senate elections.

She said the Senate elections happened on the same day and time as the presidential election.

If Wike really had that much power, she said, he should have been able to help them win.

Yesufu said Wike is very afraid of what will happen to him when he is not in government anymore.

She said it is becoming clear to everyone that Wike is afraid of life outside of power.

Wike had said earlier that the G5 strategy did help Peter Obi do well in the South-South region.

He insisted that Rivers was kept out of this arrangement on purpose.
