Rapper Rick Ross has bonded out of jail after his arrest in Miami Beach on domestic battery charges, which he denies.

The 50-year-old, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts, spoke to reporters outside the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in West Miami-Dade on Thursday afternoon.

He said he is totally innocent of what he called fabricated allegations.

He faces a felony charge of battery by strangulation and a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

Earlier that morning he appeared before Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Mindy Glazer with his attorney, Bradley Horenstein.

The lawyer asked that Ross be released quickly because he is a celebrity and was wearing a red jumpsuit for his safety.

The judge turned this down, saying she had no idea who he was and that everyone in her court is treated fairly.

She found probable cause for the charges and ordered him to stay away from the alleged victim.

A not guilty plea was entered for him.

Police say the incident happened on August 28, reportedly at his home on Star Island.

His former girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, posted photos of her injuries on social media and reported the matter to police on Tuesday.

According to the arrest report, she said Ross became angry over an Instagram photo she was tagged in and accused her of seeing someone else.

She said he slapped her each time she denied it, hit her in the chest until she could not breathe and grabbed her ponytail and slammed her head to the ground, which burst her lip.

At a news conference, Miami Beach Police spokesperson Christopher Bess said the dispute started verbally over a social media post and turned physical.

He said the victim was wearing a hoodie that Ross allegedly grabbed, and she began to lose her breath.

He added that Ross is innocent until proven guilty.

Detectives also said they have learned of possible video footage related to the incident.

When a journalist asked if the victim was making it up, Horenstein said yes and that the claims are not true.

Ross said it was totally fabricated and told reporters he would be in Dubai on Friday, Paris on Saturday and plans to have a bowl of rigatoni with heavy marinara on Sunday.

He then left in a Rolls-Royce.

Ross rose to fame in 2006 with the hit Hustlin and is known for launching several rappers' careers through his label, Maybach Music Group.
