APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda says the party will turn its numbers and organisation into a win in the 2027 general election.

He spoke on Thursday when he received the House of Representatives Aspirants Forum for Tinubu/Shettima 2027.

He said the APC has more than 261,000 executive committee members across the country, along with more governors, ministers, local government chairmen and councillors than any other party.

He said the party is open to people of all ages, genders, faiths, tribes and disabilities, and to both the educated and uneducated.

Yilwatda called President Tinubu the most credible candidate on the ballot and urged members to back his bid for a second term.

He pointed to infrastructure projects, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and rail links, as moves that would strengthen Nigeria's economic position in West and Central Africa.

He also defended the federal government's student loan scheme.

He said the N20,000 monthly upkeep allowance helps students from poor backgrounds, citing a beneficiary who reportedly used her allowance to buy a second-hand refrigerator and start an iced fish business.

Separately, APC Presidential Campaign Council member Segun Showunmi said at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday that a second Tinubu term would speed up economic reform, infrastructure, local production and job creation.

Opposition figures, including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi and Seyi Makinde, have argued that Tinubu should not seek another term.

The Presidency maintains that he has performed well and deserves re-election.
