Vice President Yemi Osinbajo Preaches Hope to Boko Haram Victims In Adamawa

Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, paid a visit to the victims of Boko Haram attacks in Adamawa state. He urged the internally displaced people to stay strong as the president was leaving no stone unturned in a bid to wipe out the insurgency.

 
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo,on Thursday paid a visit to the Boko Haram ravaged victims in Adamawa state where he reaffirmed the stand of the newly elected leader, President Muhammadu Buhari to make the menace of Boko haram a thing of the past in the country in order to ensure peace and progress. Osinbajo who has been on a tour of states hard hit by the insurgency admonished the victims to stay strong and never lose hope.

He said: “Everyday, the President is thinking about you. That is why he sent me to come and see, take notes, to understand what is going on, to hear from you, so that I can report to him for positive action. That is why I am here.

“He asks me to say to you that there is hope, great hope, that the Federal Government under his leadership will ensure everything is done to provide for you and resettle you back to you homes, your work, your businesses and your places of worship.

“But you have to be patient. As you know, the government has very little money. We are running after all the money everywhere, so that we use it to serve you”
.

According to the Vice President, the areas recovered from Boko haram members will be cleared of planted landmines and other explosives to make it safe for the returning displaced victims in order to prevent further damage.

He also assured them of the collaborative efforts of the Federal Government and the Governor of Adamawa state to rebuild structures destroyed by the terrorists invasion so that the people can continue with their daily activities in the state.
