According to the Facebook user who shared the photo, a female soldier named Matenneh T. Kromah has made history by being the first Liberian female soldier to appear in hijab.

He wrote;

"A history making female soldier of Liberia. The first ever Liberian female muslim soldier to appear in hijab. The world is proud of you Matenneh T. Kromah. May Allah's divine protection and blessings be upon you"
