Christian Dawson, 40, a 40-year-old from Yorkshire, was clobbered so violently by a student outside a takeaway that he was blinded for 24 hours.
According to Daily Star UK, Christian Dawson, 40, needed surgery after six-foot thug Lucas Mikoliunas shattered his nose, cheekbones, eye sockets and jaw.
Mr Dawson's doctor told him his facial bones “were like a packet of cornflakes that had been stamped on".
Violent brute Mikoliunas, 18, cornered Mr Dawson as he walked home alone after a night out drinking with friends in Hull city centre.
The teacher, who has now relocated to a different East Yorkshire school, recognised his former pupil before the teenager started to swing for him.
Mr Dawson told the court: "I looked at him in the face and a hand came out and I was hit very hard in the face.
"It was like a bell was being clanged, then there was a second blow to the side of my face.
"From that point on I do not have much recollection of the next few minutes at all."
Dragged in front of cops, Mikoliunas at first denied any physical contact between him and the teacher at 2am on March 17.
But the lying lout from Hull, East Yorks, was convicted of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Mikoliunas was bailed as he awaits sentence.
He will attend Hull Youth Court on July 25 for his probation report.
Speaking after the hearing, Mr Dawson said: "This is a young man who has made some awful choices.
"He's pleaded not guilty which hasn't done him any favours and dragged me through the court proceedings.
"He should get a custodial sentence, but I just feel empty inside.
"I just want to go to work and get on with my life."
