Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode and his predecessor, Babatunde Fashola
The Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode has reportedly shut down the allocation of over 25 plots of land approved by his predecessor, Babatunde Fashola towards the end of his tenure.
The landed properties in question, are located in Lekki and were said to have been allocated majorly to Fashola’s relatives, aides and associates, according to The Cable.
The former governor is said to have signed certificates of occupancy for the plots on May 26, three days to his exit from office. However, the plots had supposedly been allocated to the Lagos State Water Corporation in 1998 and the agency complained to Ambode about the issue.
