Nollywood Actress Soso Speaks on Onscreen Kissing, Says It’s Strictly Business

Nollywood actress Sophia Chisom, widely known by her nickname Soso, has weighed in on the ongoing conversation among actors about onscreen kissing, firmly stating that such scenes are strictly professional and should not be approached as a source of personal enjoyment.

Speaking in a viral online interview, the actress responded to complaints from some of her colleagues who claimed they had never experienced a satisfying kiss on set.

She made it clear that any male co-star hoping for a genuinely good kiss from her would be disappointed, as she deliberately keeps her teeth closed and relies only on her lips during filming, being very mindful about exchanging saliva with others.

She acknowledged that while the kiss must appear convincing to viewers, there is a clear boundary between acting and personal intimacy.

In her view, colleagues who complain about not getting a good onscreen kiss are missing the point entirely, since the act is purely a job requirement and not a personal experience to be enjoyed.

Her comments come on the heels of recent remarks by several Nollywood actors, including Saga Adeolu who frequently appears alongside her on screen who had openly admitted that kissing scenes on set are not pleasurable and that they are yet to experience a genuinely good kiss in the industry
