Afrobeats star Rema says he chooses not to flaunt his money and success online.

He wants to protect young people who look up to him.

Speaking in an online interview, the 26 year old singer said many young people admire him and dream of reaching the same level.

He does not want them to feel bad about themselves or rush their own journey because they see someone their age doing well.

He said everyone has their own time.

He also pointed out that some parents compare their children to others and push them into careers they do not want.

Rema says his style is simple.

He likes streetwear and does not wear many designer brands.

The only real luxury he admits to is his chains and watches.
