Before the 2027 general elections, Nigerian cleric Prophet Isa El-Buba gave an explanation for his decision to support Prince Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, rather than Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

He believes that Adebayo has a greater vision for Nigerians than Obi.

In a recent statement that was made accessible online, on Wednesday, he revealed this.

Nigeria cannot become a one-party state, the cleric warned.

He expressed worry about the country's situation, bemoaning the fact that millions of Nigerians still struggle with social injustice, unemployment, poverty, and insecurity despite the country's wealth of human and natural resources.

He claims that residents, particularly young people, have been deprived of chances for development, high-quality education, and economic prosperity due to a series of leadership failures.

"Millions of Nigerians still suffer from insecurity, unemployment, poverty, and injustice, despite the country's abundance of resources, intelligent people, and great potential," he said.

"We must unite now in order to change the course of history." He declared, "Nigeria cannot continue to endure suffering, annoyance, and incompetent leadership."

"Nigeria cannot become a one-party state. Justice and equity are essential to the survival of any system. "Peace cannot flourish in the midst of injustice, and oppression is never the pathway to stability," he said.
