Terror in God's House: How 3 Worshippers Were Stabbed With a Knife Inside Church During Service

Some three worshipers who were in church during a service, have ended up suffering a really tragic misfortune as a knife-man stormed the venue.

Three worshippers have been stabbed in a packed church in England.

According to The Sun UK, a man has been charged with attempted murder after the sad incident.

Cops were called to New Jerusalem Apostolic Church in Birmingham at 10.50am today to reports of a man being knifed.

A 33-year-old man was rushed to hospital and remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Two others were injured as they tried to restrain the attacker, who was wielding a kitchen knife in front of 150 worshippers.

John Delahaye, 47, has been charged with attempted murder.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Early indications suggest that the offender and victim knew each other and that this was a targeted attack.

"We understand the attack took place inside the church."

A statement on the church's Facebook page confirmed three worshippers had been knifed.

It read: "Three members of our congregation were injured following a knife attack all of whom have been taken to hospital.

"The following individuals were injured - Elder Karl George, Adam Brooks and Jorge George. No injuries were life threatening.

"At this time we are restricting hospital visits to family only and we will keep you updated as regularly as possible.

"We would like to thank all of our members and friends that were with us this morning for your cooperation, bravery and support and thank everyone else for your prayers."

The church follows the Pentecostal movement which has a strong base in Nigerian communities.

The Birmingham-based branch was set up in 2002 and is run by Bishop Melvin Brooks and his wife Pastor Yvonne Brooks.
