A heavily pregnant teacher who refused to sit at home because of her condition and came out yesterday to celebrate the Worker's Day in Imo, has been rewarded by the state governor.

During the Imo Workers Day Celebration at Heroes Square in Owerri, the Imo state capital on Tuesday, Governor Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha, surprised a pregnant woman who despite being heavily pregnant, defiled all odds to take part in the march-past with her co-workers.

It was gathered that the governor singled out the heavily pregnant woman out among the crowd and rewarded her with a "Cash Reward" of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira) which was handed over to her through the Chief of Staff, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu.
