Omg! 11-week-old Baby Dies After Being Left Alone in Car Seat

 

A mother was left devastated after a nursery worker left her 11-week-old baby to die sleeping in a car seat.

 

The little boy, Shephard Dodd, was found unresponsive inside the car after the nursery worker had left him there for two hours. Emergency services rushed the boy to a hospital in Oklahoma, but he couldn't be saved.

 

Parents Ali and Derek were left in total shock and anguish as the death of the tot would have been prevented if the nursery worker had checked on him earlier.

 

The devastated mum said: “I was able to kiss him on the forehead as they wheeled him in. But he was cold. So I knew it was coming.”

 

Doctors concluded that Shephard passed away because of positional asphyxiation. This was caused by two main factors, suffocation from a blanket left on top of him, and the way he was slumped down in the chair. By dangerously leaving Shephard in the seat with his chin on his chest, the carer caused his windpipe to collapse.

 

Heartbroken father Derek spoke of the irreparable damage caused by the incident, saying: “Part of our life has been destroyed. We don’t get our child back.”

 

For failing to follow government warnings, the nursery has been shut down, even though the worker contests claims that they were given any advice.
