Randy Pastor Charged With Raping Woman

 

A 23-year-old woman who went to seek spiritual help from the ghost of her dead boyfriend was forcefully raped by an alleged man of God she had gone to for consultation.

 

The incident happened in Siepsloot, Zimbabwe. The young woman who narrated her ordeal said: “I went to the pastor to get help but he forced me to have sex with him."

 

She said the pastor told her one of her previous boyfriends had died and she was being haunted by his ghost. The pastor convinced her and two other women to follow him to the river for cleansing.

 

The woman continued: “I was scared and needed divine intervention, and the pastor promised to help me. He stripped us naked and bathed us using water from the river and some muthi. I wasn’t comfortable with the whole ritual but the other women told me that many people have found peace through the same process.”

But that was not the end of the ordeal, the worst was yet to come. She said when she went back to the church the pastor called her into one of the shacks.

 

“He told me that he would chase the ghost after having sex with me. He then raped me. I left the pastor’s yard crying. Again the women said others have found peace through having sex with the pastor. He is an evil man. I feel dirty and abused,” she said.

 

She said she reported the incident to the police, who arrested the pastor. Diepsloot police spokesman Warrant Officer Daniel Mavimbela said a 34-year-old man was arrested last Saturday and charged with rape. He has appeared in court but hasn’t pleaded.
