A girl killed herself by hanging after she was depressed and distressed by the suicide of a schoolmate.

A girl of 15 killed herself because she could not cope with the suicide of a classmate, an inquest heard yesterday.
Jennifer Fry’s body was found by her mum in woodland near her home. Her schoolbag containing a suicide note, which referred to another message on her computer, was found beside a tree.
Three months earlier her pal Tom Boomer, 14, leapt to his death from a multi-storey car park.
Jennifer, of Chadlington, Oxfordshire, was deeply upset by that tragedy, the inquest in Oxford heard. She was found dead in her uniform in June after failing to arrive at school.
Coroner Darren Salter recorded a narrative verdict after her family argued she had sent texts telling pals her location so she could be stopped.
He said: “I’m not entirely convinced it was a cry for attention or help but I cannot rule it out.”
