There was tragedy in Lagos on Tuesday after a 23-year old man, Michael Okibe stabbed his parents - Barrister Clement Okibe and his mother, Toyin, leaving them to bleed to death.

According to PM Express the incident happened at Alhaji Afeez Gbadamosi Street, Ejigbo area of Lagos, where they reside.

Police operatives from the Ejigbo Division have retrieved the corpses and deposited at Isolo General Hospital mortuary for autopsy report.

The Late Mrs. Toyin was one of the matrons at Isolo General Hospital, was married to Barrister Okibe, had three children and the suspect, Michael, was the first child.

Michael did not spare his younger sister, identified as Mary, who he also stabbed during the attack and she is said to be lying critically ill at an undisclosed hospital.

Many wondered what could have led Michael, who is now on the run, to murder his parents and attempting to kill his younger sister, Mary.

According to residents, Michael had attended three private universities with nothing to show. He was expelled and was doing nothing but only engaging in drugs.

It was gathered that the parents had done so many things to engage him to be useful to no avail before he eventually attacked and murdered them in cold blood.

Police operatives from Ejigbo Division led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Olabisi Okuwobi, were at the residence making arrangements to retrieve the corpses to be deposited at the mortuary.

The house was sealed off pending when the Police will conclude their investigations.

Meanwhile the Police have started manhunt for Michael over the murder of his parents. According to the residents, after he had killed them he escaped wearing a boxer pant to an unknown place.

The residents, who troop to the scene, expressed shock over what happened. They described the late couple as humble and easy going persons who were at peace with their neighbours. They noted that the suspect, Michael, had been a thorn in the flesh of the parents until he murdered them. The Late Barrister Okibe hails from Edo State.
