The Governor of Zamfara state, Bello Mohammed Matawalle has mourned the sad death of Emir of Kaura who died after contracting coronavirus.

The Zamfara State Governor, Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle has expressed sadness following the death of the Emir of Kaura-Namoda in Zamfara, Alhaji Ahmad Asha who died due to coronavirus complications.
Recall that the monarch died on Sunday after being isolated at the Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau.
The Emir’s blood sample was taken to Abuja for test, having been suspected of contracting COVID-19,
The sample of the late monarch, returned positive.
Reacting, Matawalle on Monday said Asha was a true statesman.
He tweeted, “@I’m deeply saddened by the death of HRH Alh. Muhd Asha, Emir of K/Namoda earlier today.
“He was a true statesman who served with distinction.
“On behalf of Zamfara people, my family and I wish to convey our prayers to his departed soul and our deepest sympathy to the royal family.”
