Reports reaching us state that the honourable speaker of the House of Representatives in Kogi has been relieved of his duties.

According to a report on The Nation, Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Momoh Jimoh-Lawal was today, Thursday, 10th December, impeached.

The speaker’s camp is at the moment denying that he has been impeached.

Further reports have it that 17 members of Kogi State House of Assembly that signed and backed the impeachment of House Speaker, Jimo Momoh; Deputy Speaker and Minority Leader and their names are given below:

3- Hon. (Bar) Oluwatoyin Lawal.

4- Hon. Eneche Ojochenemi Linus.

5- Hon. (Alh) Musa Jimoh Omiata.

6- Hon. Prince M. O. Kolawole.

7- Prince Zakari Osewu Mohammed.

8- Hon. Omofaye Victor Adewale.

9- Hon. John M. U. Abah.

10- Hon. Edoko Moses Ododo.

11- Hon. Obaro A. S. Pedro.
