A woman created a scene by threatening to throw her child into a fast-flowing river to drown.

 

The angry parent in Chaozhou, South China's Guangdong Province, threatened to drown her daughter whilst dangling her above the water because her daughter got bad grades in school.

 

 

This below footage captured the horrifying moment.

 

According to one witness named Mr Wei, the girl's mother told onlookers that her daughter had threatened to commit suicide every time she tried to educate her, so she was teaching her a serious a lesson.
