Nigerians Praise Peter Okoye for Standing By His Wife Just as Prince Harry Did for Meghan, He Reacts

 

Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye has thanked Nigerians after he was praised for ditching his family to stand by his wife, Lola Omotayo.

 

This is coming after British royal, Prince Harry dumped his family for his wife, Meghan Markle.

 

The singer trended on the Nigerian media space recently as men compared him to Prince Harry, who has been standing up for his wife, Megan Markle, in the face of her clash with the British royal family. ICYMI

 

Peter Okoye came into the mix when a lady took to Twitter to commend Harry for his actions and berated Nigerian men. She claimed that an Igbo man can never put his wife first.

Some Nigerians disagreed with her claims and used Peter Okoye as a practical example. Recall that the former member of defunct PSquare group stood by his wife, Lola, who happened to be a Yoruba woman, during the clash he had with his brothers and other family members.

 

 

Netizens went on to commend and praise Peter for also putting his wife first, in the face of his family dispute. Some opined that his actions at the time were underrated because it was from an African man.

 

With his name trending on Nigerian Twitter for hours, Peter took to the microblogging platform to acknowledge the commendation for standing up for what is right and protecting his woman.
