At least 13 persons last weekend lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident which occurred at Busuri village on the Bulkachuwa-Dambam Road in Bauchi State.
An auto accident that occurred last weekend at Busuri village on the Bulkachuwa-Dambam Road in Bauchi State. claimed the lives of 13 persons.
Five others involved in the crash sustained varying degrees of injuries.
A statement made available on Sunday, May 31, in Bauchi by the state Police Command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Haruna Mohammed, read: “On the May 29, at about 20::5hrs, there was a head-on collusion at Busuri village along Bulkachuwa-Dambam road, Bauchi, involving a Blue Toyota model F Hiace bus with regsistration number: AQ 79 AKR (Ondo) driven by one Sule Abubakar, male, 28 years of Bulkachuwa town, Bauchi State and a White Iveco truck with regsistration number: XBOX 907 GWL (Kano)."

The police spokesman said police patrol team attached to Azare Division of the command rushed to the scene of the accident and evacuated the victims to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Azare, for medical attention.
The PPRO, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) stated that it was at the hospital that 13 persons, including the driver of the Toyota bus, were confirmed dead, adding that the remains of the deceased were deposited at the mortuary of the hospital for post-mortem examination, while the victims who sustained injuries were receiving treatment.
