A woman has had her life cut short after police engaged some hoodlums in a shootout.
A businesswoman has died after she was caught in the crossfire between hoodlums and security agents on Tuesday in Owerri, Imo state.
She was killed during a gun battle between suspected gunmen and security operatives, as she was hit by a stray bullet.
Some hoodlums had earlier attacked and razed Orji Divisional Police Headquarters.
The victim, who sold provisions in her shop at Hardel junction close to the scene of the fierce battle was in her 60s, according to THE PUNCH.
Her lifeless lay on the ground as her relatives and friends wailed uncontrollably.
It was learnt that another lady who was filming the ugly battle was shot in the leg close to the scene.
