Popular Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale and his accomplices who were arrested for raising a false alarm about the singer being shot have been granted bail.
Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale and his accomplices have been granted bail after being charged with publication of false news following a staged claim of the singer being shot.
The singer turned himself in on October 19, 2021, together with his three friends after allegedly faking a gunshot attack.
The Shatta Movement boss was charged with the publication of false news and causing fear and panic.
Shatta Wale and his associates who were remanded at Ankaful Prison for 7 days, were granted bail after appearing before an Accra Circuit Court today October 25.
The singer was granted GH100,000 bail on self recognition.
His 3 accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Idris Yusif, and Eric Venator, were also granted bail on grounds that they had been counseled, are not flight risk, and will not escape.
The case has been adjourned and the accused will re-appear in court on 9th November.
