It was all smiles at a high profile gathering as Oyo state political juggernaut, Akala finally met with the national party leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife Remi who is a Senator representing Lagos state.

Alao Akala was spotted with Bola Tinubu and his wife Senator Remi after defecting to APC, the ruling party. This is a sign that the Former oyo state governor under People's Democratic Party in 2007 to 2011 has been fully integrated into the party.

Akala cross-carpeted from the Labour Party under which he contested in the last gubernatorial election and lost. He initially faced a resistance from the leadership of the APC in Oyo state who showed resistance in admitting him.
