A Nigerian mother whose daughter is getting married took the wedding invitation to another level.

While inviting friends for her daughter's wedding, rather than share a photo of her daughter with her fiancé, the woman shared her and her husband's photo.

The bride-to-be took to Twitter to share the invitation her mother sent out.

She wrote in the caption: "My mom inviting people to my wedding with a picture of her and my dad."

Her tweet gained attention and amused Nigerians replied, telling her that an African wedding is more for the parents than the actual couple.
