Some armed robbers in police uniform yesterday invaded a microfinance bank in Ikirun, headquarters of Ifelodun council of Osun State, The Nation reports.
The Nation learnt that failing to enter the banking hall, the assailants attacked an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and took out all the money there.
Local sources said the robbers came around 2am yesterday.
A security source told our correspondent that the assailants came in large numbers.
“Armed robbers in their scores invaded the bank dressed in police uniform. One of the local hunters guarding the bank was overpowered and tied while the other escaped to call for reinforcement.
