A heartbroken Nigerian lady has penned an emotional tribute to her husband who passed away a year ago.

Her spouse, Dr Newton Walter Okoh died on the 19th of January 2021, and the kids keep asking of him because they still have not accepted his death.

Read the one year Remembrance tribute below...

"I’ve tried severally to write this tribute..

It’s really one year.

Nothing I write can explain the hurt I and our children feel everyday.

You, Dr. Newton Walter Okoh, died a hero, let the world know it lost a hero on the 19th of January 2021.

I don’t know how to explain your absence in my life. Which angle, which area of our lives should I talk about? Your death is a monumental loss.
You left me heartbroken..

Your departure deeply broke Ebube and Dumebi’s heart. It’s a lot of serious struggle helping them to manage the pain of loosing you and putting up a strong face for them everyday when I’m actually more broken.

Awele actually thinks you are coming back.
She can’t understand why you are staying too long in heaven, she misses you and hugs your pictures everyday expectantly. My heart bleeds again and again each time…

Isioma was barely 3 months when you left, it hurts! I take consolation that he will grow to know that his dad, was a great father, a mentor, a compassionate, kind, caring, honest, God fearing, responsible, dedicated and the most hardworking and the best Obstetrician Gyneacologist/Fertility expert of his time.

This is hard Newton.

Continue to rest in the bossom of God Almighty.

We will forever love you.

Amara, Ebube, Dumebi, Awele and Isioma."
