Serious tragedy struck at the weekend in Taraba State, as rainstorm destroyed the buildings of the College of Agriculture in Ardo-Kola Local Government Council of the state, Daily Post reports.
The downpour, which lasted for about an hour, was observed to have destroyed structures and facilities at the college.
Facilities noticed to have been affected by the rainstorm include the staff quarters and some lecture theaters belonging to the engineering department.
When reached for comment, the College Provost, Yakubu Garjilla, confirmed that the rainstorm has negatively affected the college.

The National Board for Technical Education for accreditation.
For the team to go ahead and accredit most of the programmes, the structures, as suggested by him, ought to be fixed before the much expected team arrived in the state.
Also bewildered by the destruction the Head of Engineering Department, Abel Fulack, decried the high-level of destruction wrought by the rainstorm.
Aligning his weight to that of the Provost, he called for urgent steps to fix the structures to provide a conducive learning atmosphere for the students.
