Chief Government Ekpemupolo of Bayelsa who was empowered with the security of the oil pipelines in the Niger-Delta region by the Goodluck Jonathan-led administration seems to have lost his domineering political influence as he has absconded into the creeks in a bid to evade prosecution on allegations of corruption.

 

Tompolo became popular after holding the late President Musa Yar'dua-led administration to ransom with a well-armed team of militants causing mayhem in the south-south part of Nigeria before they were granted amnesty by the then Federal Government.
