Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has warned that the refusal of the Independent National Electoral Commission to transmit results from polling units has rendered the election invalid.
The Peoples Democratic Party's Vice-Presidential candidate said that's the reason his party is calling for cancellation of the ongoing collation of presidential election results.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Labour Party's Vice Presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti-Ahmed, Okowa stated that the electoral act which Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Yakubu Mahmood, had always wanted, makes it mandatory for elections results to be transmitted from polling units.
He said this would in turn be used for the manual collation. Okowa stated that failure to do this, renders the process invalid. Watch the video below…
