Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) has received Victor Umeh after he was given a certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission as the Anambra Central Senator-elect.

The Chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, presented the certificates to the winners of the just concluded senatorial elections held on February 25 at the National Collation Centre (International Conference Centre), Abuja.
In a tweet via his Twitter account on Tuesday evening, Obi said the return of the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to the Senate is well deserved.
The former Governor of Anambra State added that the party, the OBIdient Family, and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed feel elated by Umhe’s election, given his legislative experience.
Obi said the party and indeed Nigerians will look forward to her diligent service and contribution toward nation-building.
Obi, who also shared photos of himself and Umeh wrote, “I wish to convey my very hearty congratulations to @SenVictorUmeh, representing Anambra Central Senatorial Zone. Your return to the Red Chamber is well deserved. The Labour Party, the OBIdient Family, Datti and I, feel elated by your election, given your legislative experience.
