The wife of President Mohammadu Buhari has requested that she be henceforth addressed as the wife of the President and not as First Lady. This, Mrs Aisha Buhari stated while speaking at an Appreciation Dinner held on Saturday, June 13th at the State House, Abuja.

The eloquent wife of the President who holds a Master’s degree in International affairs and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Acadmy (NDA) told guests at the dinner, 'I am not the first Lady' says the wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Hajia Aisha Muhammadu Buhari. 'I am the wife of the President and will be addressed as such going forward'
