A clash between Shiite members in Bakin Ruwa Area of Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State and Governor Nasir El-Rufai's convoy has resulted in the death of at least four persons.
DailyPost reported that the incident happened on Thursday evening.
Many people were also left injured.
The governor’s convoy came in contact with the Shi’ite members while they were performing their weekly procession at Bakin Ruwa along Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway.
According to Daily Trust, a Shi’ite representative in Kaduna state, Abdullahi Usman, who confirmed the incident, said none of those killed was their member.
The spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Mohammed Jalige, also confirmed the incident, saying investigation was ongoing and that a statement would be issued later.
