Goods Worth Millions Of Naira Razed As Fire Guts Ibadan Market (Photos)

A fire incident in Bodija Market, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, has left some goods worth millions of naira destroyed.

DAILY POST reports that a section of the plank market was affected by the late night fire.

The incident occurred Tuesday evening.

The cause of the fire outbreak was unknown as of the time of filing this report.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed the incident to DAILY POST Tuesday night.

South West Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Mr Saheed Akiode told DAILY POST that men of the agency have been mobilised to the scene

Akiode said, “We are there to ensure the fire is put under control.

“Further assessment continues tomorrow,” he said.
