Hilda Bassey and Eni travelled to Akwa-Ibom for her homecoming after her 4-day long cooking in a bid to become a Guinness world record breaker for the longest cooking time by an individual.
Twitter critic, Daniel Regha has called out chef, Hilda Bassey and her buddy, Enioluwa Adeoluwa.
This comes after the duo posted a video of them eating dog meat online.
Regha who gave his unsolicited opinion said the decision to post the content online is unwise.
In a recent post, Eni shared photos of different delicacies displayed on the table with Hilda sitting beside him while he asked his audience which they would have as he went ahead to list them.
“Akwa-Ibom foods on the table. What are you having? 1. Ekpan Nkwukwo 2. Dog meat 3. Editan 4. Afang 5. Afia efere 6. Plantain porridge 7. Fisherman soup.”
Also in a video, Eni and Hilda had a plate of dog meat before them and resolved to try it.
Speaking in the video, Eni said: “This is dog meat. We’re going to try eating dog meat for the very first time. Me, I no try. Hilda try, you’ll tell us how it is because me I cannot try it.
“You want me to eat dog meat,” Eni asked. Ehn hen! Will you die,” replied Hilda. “Yes, I will die,” Eni said.
“Just taste one,” she said and she picked a piece of it with her fork and tried to put it in Eni’s mouth who by the way was already screaming.
The video, which has since gone viral, stirred reactions online as some social media users noted dogs are pets as such, they shouldn’t be cooked and eaten for food.
Reacting on Twitter, Regha wrote: “Hilda Baci needs to think smart, the world is watching her. Eating dog meat & posting it online as content is unwise; Enioluwa should also know better.
“Some Africans eat dogs, but this is considered animal cruelty in many foreign countries. The fight for Animal Rights is no joke.”
