Gov Namadi Fires Board Members, Heads Of MDAs

Gov Umar Namadi of Jigawa has ordered the dismissal of all Chairmen, Board members and Chief Executives of parastatals with immediate effect.

The Permanent Secretary, Administration and Finance, Office of the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen.

According to the statement, “Governor Malam Umar Namadi has approved the relief of appointments of Managing Directors, General Managers, Executive Secretaries, Directors General Chairmen and Members of Board of Agencies/Parastatals with exception of Commissions.”

He explained that Career Executive Secretaries, Managing Directors, Directors General, and General Managers were excluded.

The statement directed all the relieved appointees to hand over government properties in their possession to the most senior officer in their organization.

Governor Namadi appreciated their contributions and wished them success in their future endeavours.
