Teenage Boy Falls From 9th Floor to His Death as Daredevil Stunt Goes Horribly Wrong

A young boy who was carrying out a daring stunt from a very high building fell from the steep height after his stunt went wrong.

The 13-year-old plunged 100ft to his death from a tower block in Russia after a daredevil parkour stunt went wrong.

The teenager - named only as Tolya in local media - had been showing off to friends dangling by his fingertips from the ninth floor of a derelict building, according to police in Saratov, south-western Russia.

But as he tried to haul himself back up, one of the bricks he was holding on to gave way and he plummeted to the concrete path below.

One friend told local media: 'We heard the noise when the body hit the ground.

'I was deeply shocked when I saw his body. I was just sitting there close to him in shock for half an hour after that.'

Tolya and his friends regularly used the abandoned block to practice free running stunts like roof leaping, handstands on ledges and dangling themselves over the edge of the building, police say.

Police spokeswoman Kseniya Litvinova said: 'We found the body of the 13-year-old lying on the floor without signs of life.

'A post-mortem examination will reveal the cause of the boy's death. An investigation is ongoing.'

Russian TV Channel TNT reported that Tolya and his friends may have been drinking before performing the stunts.

Acrobatics expert Aleksandr Rusinov said: 'It is a big mistake to drink alcohol before performing stunts. Alcohol affects your balancing skills.'
