A 14-day ultimatum has been issued to President Bola Tinubu by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, over the fuel subsidy removal.
SERAP said Tinubu should publish the spending details of fuel subsidy within the next four weeks.
The body vowed to initiate a legal action against Tinubu if he fails to publish the details within four weeks.
Tweeting on Sunday, SERAP wrote: “BREAKING: Subsidy removal: We’ve urged President Tinubu to widely publish spending details of the N400 billion saved in four weeks from the removal of subsidy on petrol, or face legal action.”
Tinubu had declared an end to fuel subsidy regime during his inauguration on May 29.
He had vowed to ensure that money spent on fuel subsidy was directed to infrastructures in the areas of education, health, and others.
