A Nigerian pastor, Rev. Ogbonnaya Igwe has revealed that he initially wanted to send a barber sent to cut his hair back after realizing that the barber is a woman.
Igwe said he wanted to refuse her service but something told him that sending her away is contrary to his preaching.
Writing further, Rev. Igwe, said a woman in a male-dominated field is an inspiration to young ladies who depend on men for financial help.
“The man that used to cut my hair traveled, and I sent my PA to go and get me another person to come,” he wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
"When I saw this lady come to cut my hair, I wanted to refuse and send her back but something in me said, this is what you used to preach, never go contrary to your preaching, that one can always make a difference.
“The spirit of God ministered to me to encourage her. This young lady is a great inspiration to many young ladies out there who are depending on men or others for financial help. She knows how to make women's hair and men, I am thinking of opening a Unisex Salon for her, so she can have her own shop to inspire and train many other ladies, as I trust God for provision. We all can make a difference in a different way to inspire our generation. Working is better than begging.”
