El-Rufai is among the 28 ministerial nominees sent to the Senate last week for screening and confirmation.
The immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has been tackled during his appearance before the Senate to confirm him as a minister.
It happened that one of the senators raised an objection, saying that he has a petition againt El-Rufai.
This led to a rowdy session during the screening of ministerial nominees on Tuesday.
El-Rufai is among the 28 ministerial nominees sent to the Senate last week for screening and confirmation.
The lawmaker who commended the former governor, said: “I have a petition against you regarding the insecurity in Kaduna under your administration”.
The question, however, caused a commotion as lawmakers insist El-Rufai should be allowed to take a bow and go as his case should not be different from other past governors already screened who were also asked to take a bow and go.
