The comedian reacted after he was called out by a troll on X platform who claimed that Basketmouth is part of the problem in Nigeria.

Nigerian comedian Basketmouth has reacted after he was called out over the ongoing depreciation of naria against the dollar.

It all started after a troll on X platform had claimed that Basketmouth is part of the problem in Nigeria.

He stated that rather than come out to vote on Elections Day, the comedian had been busy doing a show on the day.

The tweep wrote:

“Did Basketmouth vote for good governance on election day? Basketmouth that had a show slated for 25th Feb 2023. He is part of Nigeria’s problem.”

In reaction, Basketmouth admitted to being the reason behind the country’s numerous problems, and added that he’s the reason dollar is exchanged at 1,700 naira.

He wrote:

“Oh yes!!! I guess I am really the problem!!

I’m the reason the $ is now N1,700 and counting.

I’m the one that keeps collapsing the power grid.

I’m the reason the refineries don’t work.

I’m the snake that swallowed $100,000.

I guess i am the one.”
