Lawyer Beaten Up By Police After Visiting Station To Enquire About A Client

A police officer has been accused of assaulting a lawyer at the Lagos State Police Command in Ikeja.

Timothy Olamide Olaniyi said he visited the police command to ask about a client who was arrested a month earlier.

However, he alleged that he was beaten like a “condemned criminal” when he got there and was told that it is not all cases that lawyers can handle.

The lawyer made a complaint on X to the Lagos State Police Complaint Response Unit.
