DAILY POST reports that a meeting of some prominent indigenes of Ibadan was held on Wednesday with Ladoja and other High Chiefs.

A source who spoke with DAILY POST on Friday noted that the people at the meeting resolved and gave the two parties six days to resolve the crisis, beginning from Wednesday.

The source added that another expanded meeting would be held on Monday where the terms of reference would be written and signed by the two parties.
.
“You know that a meeting was held on Wednesday. This is the outcome of the meeting. Ladoja spoke and the High Chiefs also spoke. Amidu Ajibade spoke on behalf of the other High Chiefs who collected the crowns.

“Ladoja said that he had been in the court before Oba Balogun passed away. He said that he went to court because the crowns given to the High Chiefs is an aberration. He said that he did not have any issue with anyone.

“The other ones who collected the crowns said that it was Ladoja that made them surrender the crowns before they went to collect it again and they were not ready to surrender it again. They said that they were not ready to surrender the crowns again because of Ladoja. They told Ladoja to withdraw the case in court.

“But, Ladoja told them that there should be term of reference before he can do that. That is how it ended. They appealed to them. In fact Yemi Soladoye prostrated more than six times for them so as to resolve the matter. The two parties spoke.

“But, it was agreed that they have six days to resolve the matter. A six days ultimatum was issued to them. It started on Wednesday and will end on Monday. Then, another expanded meeting would be held on Monday”.
