Kidnappers Kill Nasarawa Varsity DVC's Father

The father of Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, has been killed by suspected kidnappers.

The victim, Comrade Daniel Lagi, was killed in Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
 
 A community development trainer and social activist, Tigga Kefas, confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Monday, June 3, 2024.
 
"Another shocking tragedy in Wamba LGA. Baba Comr. Daniel Lagi died in the hands of deadly kidnappers. It's so painful to note that we now live in great fear and as major strangers in our own communities in Wamba due to how porous and helpless we have become within a system we should ordinarily be productive," he wrote.
 
“Wamba instead of becoming a home of tourism, agriculture and hospitality, it is gradually turning into full-fledged den of Kidnappers and killers. Hmmm. May the soul of Baba Comr. Daniel Lagi Rest in Peace, and May God comfort the families of Prof. Theophilus Lagi, Hon. Innocent Lagi and all the Lagi's as they go through this painful memories.”
