The recommendation was made at its 106th Meeting presided over by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola held on August 14 and 15.
Justice Kudirat Motonmori Kekere-Ekun has been nominated to replace outgoing Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
She has now been recommended by the National Judicial Council to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointment as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
The recommendation was made at its 106th Meeting presided over by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola held on August 14 and 15.
Recall that Ariwoola will formally bow out of office on August 22.
The Council also recommended 27 candidates for appointment as judges of state courts and a candidate for appointment as Kadi of the Sharia Court of the FCT, Abuja to their various governors and Mr. President.
