Former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani has made a case against Nigerians who collect the Permanent Voter’s Card, PVC, but refused to vote.
He said that such persons should be punished.
Sani made this call via his official X handle on Sunday.
The ex-lawmaker said such will tackle the issue of poor turnout on election days.
“Heavy fine should be imposed for those who collected PVC but refused to vote.
“That is the best way to address the problem of low voter turnout,” he said.
