Hollywood comic actor, Chris Rock returns for 'Empire' season 2 and will play a man from Lucious Lyon's past who is also a prisoner in the same jail.
The last season of the award winning Fox series, 'Empire' ended with Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) incarcerated under charges of murder. But it looks like he will have some stellar company in the person of legendary comic actor, Chris Rock, who will play a man from Lucious' past who is also a prisoner in the same jail.
The show's creator, Lee Daniels revealed on Tuesday that filming had begun on the popular series, which is set to come back for its second season on September 23. Daniels posted a video on Instagram of Rock, 50, in an orange jailhouse jumpsuit while filming in Chicago's Cook County Juvenile Detention Center.
In the short clip, Daniels films the comic actor walking into an elevator in handcuffs as he says slyly: 'How's it going Lee Daniels, Academy Award nominated director?' The celebrated filmmaker captioned his video: 'theoriginalbigdaddy#gettingready #gettingexcited #chrisrock #empire #empireseason2 #fox'
