The incidents of rape has increased in the last few months, what makes this case peculiar though, is the fact that it is underage and homosexual rape.

The Police Command in Bauchi State has arrested an 18-year-old man for raping an eight-year-old boy.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, said the suspect, Mustapha Abdullahi, committed the offence on Saturday, June 20, at about 4pm.

He added that police detectives attached to the Dass division arrested Abdullahi in Wandi District in the Dass Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

The PPRO said, “The suspect lured an eight-year-old boy and had unlawful carnal knowledge of him against the order of nature. The victim was rushed to the Dass General Hospital for medical examination. The suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.”
