The aftermath of President Muhammadu Buhari's claim that the past administration left him an empty treasury has sparked several criticisms, but Ezekwesili has aired her views on the assertion.

Following the claim by former Minister/Deputy Chairman, National Planning Commission (NPC), Dr. Abubakar Sulaiman that former President Goodluck Jonathan left $30 billion in the national treasury before stepping down, the Bring Back Our Girls frontline campaigner and former world bank vice president, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili has expressed her disagreement via her Twitter platform.
