Recall that in the past weeks, Dangote Refinery and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers have engaged in a face-off.

The President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, Festus Osifo has assured that Dangote Refinery will recall Nigerian workers.
This comes after Dangote Group took the decision to sack all its Nigerian workers after they joined the union.
Osifo spoke in an exclusive interview with DAILY POST on Friday.
It was reported that the 650,000 barrel-per-day refinery sacked all its Nigerian workers 24 hours after they joined PENGASSAN.
Reacting, Osifo, who doubled as the president of Nigeria’s Trade Union Congress, assured that the company would reverse the decision.
“Yes, it is true. We saw the latter late last night (Wednesday).
“I can assure you that they will recall all of them,” he told DAILY POST.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of Dangote Group, Anthony Chijiena, is yet to respond to DAILY POST enquiry as of the time of filing this report.
Recall that in the past weeks, Dangote Refinery and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers have engaged in a face-off over the unionisation of workers.
NUPENG had declared a strike before it was suspended after the intervention of the Federal Government.
In a recent move, Dangote Refinery secured an interim injunction restraining the union and its affiliates from embarking on strike.
Meanwhile, the interim order has since expired.
